ShortList Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Support Developer to join a growing fintech SaaS business that provides cloud-based technology solutions to the financial services sector. The company is continuing to invest heavily in its technology and operations teams as it scales its platform and client services capabilities.
As a Support Developer, you’ll play a key role in supporting and maintaining critical production systems and APIs used by financial services clients. The role is heavily focused on troubleshooting, technical investigations, client interaction and platform support, while also contributing to bug fixes, platform improvements and internal tooling enhancements.
Responsibilities:- Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve production and integration issues across web applications and APIs.
- Act as a technical point of contact for clients, supporting investigations and resolving technical queries.
- Monitor application logs, alerts and operational tooling to identify root causes of issues.
- Contribute to bug fixing, platform improvements and operational support tooling.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations and external stakeholders to maintain platform stability and service quality.
- Support testing, deployments and ongoing maintenance activities across the platform.
- Previous experience in an Application Support, Technical Support Engineering or similar role.
- Experience supporting modern web applications, REST APIs and cloud-based platforms.
- Commercial experience with Node.js and relational databases such as MySQL.
- Exposure to React, Gatsby or similar front-end technologies.
- Experience investigating production issues, analysing logs and performing root cause analysis.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with technical and non-technical clients.
The Support Developer role is offering a salary of up to £45,000 plus excellent benefits including hybrid working, strong flexibility and an enhanced pension scheme. The role is predominantly remote with occasional travel to offices in Chester. It is commutable from Liverpool, Wirral, Runcorn, Warrington and North Wales.
