We’re a growing, investor-backed company and a distributed team of people with art and heart.

We’re looking for a Senior Account Executive to help us build lasting relationships with enterprise customers.

The role

You’ll build your own pipeline, develop strategic accounts and lead consultative sales cycles from first conversation to close.

You’ll work with marketing and content leaders as well as the digital and technical teams involved in choosing and implementing a platform.

This is a remote role for someone based in London.

You’ll work from home or a co-working space and regularly meet customers and prospective customers in person across London.

You’ll report to the Head of Sales and work closely with Customer Success, Marketing, Product and other teams.

  • What you’ll do
  • Build and manage an outbound pipeline of medium and large enterprise prospects.
  • Create account plans and develop relationships with multiple stakeholders, from marketing and content leaders to web and platform teams.
  • Lead discovery, product demonstrations, proposals, negotiations and closing.
  • Understand each customer’s priorities and show how Shorthand can support their content and digital experience goals.
  • Identify opportunities to grow strategic accounts.
  • Meet customers and prospects regularly in person across London.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts and share what you’re learning from the market with the wider team.
  • What you’ll bring
  • A track record of generating your own pipeline and closing complex enterprise Saa S deals.
  • Experience selling CMS, digital publishing, martech, DXP or closely related technology.
  • Confidence engaging senior decision-makers and navigating buying groups that include both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong discovery and consultative selling skills, with the ability to connect product capabilities to customer outcomes.
  • The ability to run product demonstrations and discuss workflows, integrations and implementation considerations with customer teams.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, sound commercial judgement and attention to detail.
  • The initiative to manage your territory independently while collaborating well with a distributed team.
  • Experience selling through partners, bringing new products to market, or working with platforms such as Word Press, Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore or Contentful would be particularly useful.

Why work with us?

  • Remote working and flexible hours, with a co-working allowance if you’d like one.
  • The autonomy to own and grow your territory and help shape our enterprise sales approach.
  • A product trusted by leading global brands, publishers, universities and not-for-profits.
  • A home office allowance, laptop and the equipment you need to do your best work.
  • An Employee Share Option Plan for all team members.
  • A Health & Wellness Allowance, plus access to coaching and counselling.
  • Paid parental leave if your family grows (and your world gets a little bigger).
  • A base salary of £55,000–£65,000, plus variable commission. The offer will reflect your skills and experience.
  • Our interview process

We value direct communication and want you to know what to expect

  • An initial Zoom conversation with the hiring manager.
  • A take-home task using our platform (approximately 2–4 hours).
  • Panel interviews with members of the team, including our CEO.
  • Reference and background checks before a formal offer.

All interviews are conducted virtually. Please let us know if you need any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process.
