Shifts: Days, Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00

Hourly Rate: £27 Umbrella

Hours Per Week: 45 hours per week on average.

Position Summary: You will be responsible for assisting in carrying out routine Examination on rolling stock units and reporting any defects or faults that you find. Ensure a safe and efficient workspace by adhering to company and health and safety policies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist with performing exams on units including but not limited to:
    • Startup tests
    • Break tests
    • Testing lighting (internal and external)
    • Battery examination
    • Test fire systems and alarms
    • Coupler inspection
  • Assist with basic fault finding and rectification
  • Reporting major faults to team leader
  • Fill out and complete reports

Ideal Candidate: A diligent professional able to work well as an individual or in a team.

Rolling Stock experience required:

  • History of completing safety critical work
  • Ability to undertake detailed fault finding and analysis by reading and following electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings
