Client Summary: Our Client is a leader in the West Midlands for providing transport solutions to the area.

Position Summary: As the Engineering Trainer you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, planning and delivering engaging technical training programmes for engineering and infrastructure teams.
  • Delivering both classroom and practical-based training on tram systems, depot procedures, and maintenance processes.
  • Assessing and maintaining the competency of staff using the company's competency management software.
  • Working with third-party suppliers and OEMs to develop and enhance training courses.
  • Supporting and motivating colleagues through coaching, mentoring and tailored learning plans.
  • Helping to foster a positive learning culture within the Engineering department.
  • Maintaining your own professional competencies and support continuous improvement initiatives.

About You: You'll be an experienced engineer with a strong technical background and a genuine passion for sharing your knowledge. You'll be confident communicating complex ideas clearly and effectively, whether in a workshop, classroom, or online environment. In order to be successful in this role you must have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an engineering role.
  • Proven hands-on electrical engineering experience.
  • NVQ Level 3 (or higher) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Excellent attention to detail and IT proficiency (Microsoft 365).
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence.
