JOB TITLE: Traincare Operative (Industrial Cleaner)JOB LOCATION: Crofton, WakefieldHOURS PER WEEK: Average 40 hours per weekSHIFTS: 4 on 4 off Permanent NightsSHIFT DAYS: Monday to Sunday (flexibility to work weekends)HOLIDAY ENTITLEMENT:33 Days per years DURATION: Long Term Position Summary: To begin with you'll be expected to complete a week's training (with pay), on the role and site health and safety. Once the training is completed you'll be placed on shifts with a team cleaning trains on the depot in Crofton.The position is based on a busy Rail depot and all applicants would be expected to complete the following: Physical cleaning including the roof of the Trains and other exterior Complete cleaning with various chemicals and cleaning liquids Manual labour Complete Bio-Cleans (disinfect toilets and buffet cars) Work within a safety critical environment Complete cleaning with various chemicals and cleaning liquids Manual labour Complete Bio-Cleans (disinfect toilets and buffet cars) Work within a safety critical environment Internally and externally clean trains Report any maintenance for fleets to go out into service at required standard Radio communication/ point of contact for team leaders Train staff to complete service/ heavy cleans to highest possible standard. Bio cleans/ fatality cleaner – also trained other staff to complete this using correct chemicals and procedure Underframe cleaning Industrial carpet cleaning throughout fleet for Cross County and Virgin trains Oxal cleaning (industrial acid clean) on exterior for Arrow Solutions promotion Diversity training Manual handling Health and safety ( Zero attitude scheme)* Chemical handling (COSHH regulations)Ideal applicants would have had some cleaning or heavy industry experience and previously worked nights.
