Shorterm Group are currently looking for a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join an established yet growing engineering company based in Swindon.

Key Skills & Certifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
  • ECS Gold Card (JIB registered)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
  • City & Guilds 2391 - Inspection & Testing
  • Experience working under a Competent Person Scheme (e.g. NICEIC, NAPIT)
  • Proven experience within commercial or industrial maintenance environments
  • Full UK driving licence

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out both planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple sites, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
  • Diagnose electrical faults and undertake timely repairs on single-phase and three-phase systems to maintain reliability and safety
  • Conduct inspection, testing, and certification of electrical installations, ensuring full compliance with current regulations and industry best practices
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic fault-finding on fire alarm and security systems, escalating issues where specialist support is required
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current BS 7671 (18th Edition) standards and internal compliance procedures

Job Details:

  • Permanent position
  • Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00
  • Friday: 08:00 - 14:30
  • Overtime available - paid at 1.5x, Sundays paid at 2x
  • Circa £50,000 per annum (salary negotiable)
