An exciting opportunity has arisen for a System Design Engineer to join a specialist engineering organisation delivering complex communications, networking, and technology solutions to customers operating in challenging environments across maritime, defence, government, and commercial sectors. This role is located in Redhill, Surrey.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality electrical and mechanical designs, supporting projects from concept through to manufacture and installation. This role offers the opportunity to influence design standards, contribute to new product development, and work on technically challenging systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce detailed electrical and mechanical drawings to support engineering and project delivery teams.
- Develop design concepts from initial requirements through to final production documentation.
- Create high-quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings in accordance with recognised industry and ISO standards.
- Produce electrical schematics, system layouts, wiring diagrams, enclosure designs, and mechanical assembly drawings.
- Generate STEP files and other manufacturing outputs for customers, suppliers, and production teams.
- Refine and develop preliminary mechanical concepts into production-ready designs.
- Support the design of electrical enclosures, control panels, and other related components.
