We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer with a strong background in aviation structures and rotary aircraft design to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile aerospace projects in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop structural components and assemblies for rotary-wing aircraft.
  • Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Conduct design reviews, stress considerations, and modification assessments.
  • Liaise with cross-functional engineering and production teams to ensure design integrity and compliance.
  • Support documentation and certification requirements for aerospace standards.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in rotary aircraft or aerospace structural design.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace materials, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to tight project timelines.
  • Must be based in or able to commute to the Yeovil area.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with civil or military rotorcraft platforms.
  • Experience with stress analysis or design certification support.

Contract Details:
