Hourly Rate: Up to Β£16.44 per hour (depending on experience) + Overtime
Shifts: Monday – Friday, 07:30 AM – 4:30 PM (3:30 PM finish on Fridays)
Hours per Week: 40+ (Overtime available)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months (Temp to Perm)

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Shot Blaster to join our team in Winsford, Cheshire. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and blasting commercial vehicle trailers, ensuring a high-quality finish before the painting and coating process. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in shot blasting, particularly in trailer manufacturing or heavy commercial vehicle bodywork.

Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out shot blasting on commercial vehicle trailers to remove rust, old coatings, and surface contaminants.
* Prepare trailers for painting and coating, ensuring surfaces are properly cleaned and profiled.
* Work with a range of materials, including stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium.
* Operate blast pots, air compressors, and other blasting equipment efficiently and safely.
* Ensure all work meets high-quality standards and adheres to safety regulations.
* Maintain equipment and work areas to ensure a clean and safe environment.
* Work towards production targets while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements:
* Previous experience in shot blasting within a commercial vehicle or trailer manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of abrasive blasting techniques and materials.
* Ability to handle and operate blasting equipment safely.
* Experience working with automotive and industrial coatings is desirable.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Shift & Pay Details:
* Dayshift: Monday – Friday, 07:30 AM – 4:30 PM (3:30 PM finish on Fridays).
* Pay Rate: Up to Β£16.44 per hour, depending on experience – will take lower or semi-skilled workers to begin with at lower rates until trained up to full rate standard.
* Overtime available at enhanced rates.
