As the demand for rail transport continues to grow, it plays a crucial role in reducing road congestion and lowering the UK's carbon footprint. To support this progress, we are committed to maintaining our locomotives and rolling stock to the highest standards, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability. To achieve this, we are expanding our technical team and seeking Skilled Mechanical, Electrical, and Dual-Skilled Technicians to join our operations in Somerset.
About the Role: We are looking for highly skilled professionals with experience in maintaining and repairing a range of vehicles, including aircraft, civilian, and military applications. The role involves working a mixed shift pattern over 42 hours per week, carrying out general examination work, maintenance, and repairs on electric locomotives and their heavy components, with a combination of electrical and mechanical activities.
- Salary: Basic earnings of £45,580.00 per annum, with overtime opportunities allowing earnings of up to £50,000 per annum.
- Additional financial benefits can be gained from passing modules within a Technical Matrix, 9 in total with a £1,500.00 pa reward for each one passed.
- We offer a class leading benefits package which includes 33 days leave pa, and ultimately a final salary pension plan.
We are looking for Technically astute Team Players that live within a max of 1 hour from the Depot and are working hours flexible as the team operate a shift pattern.
