CMM Inspector - Location: Hilsea, Portsmouth - Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Day Shift) - Benefits: 5% Company Pension, Healthshield Cash Plan - Type: Permanent An established and growing precision engineering business in the Portsmouth area is looking to recruit an experienced CMM Inspector to join its quality department on a permanent day shift. Operating across highly regulated industries including aerospace, defence, automotive and advanced manufacturing, the company provides high-precision machining, tooling and rubber moulding solutions, supporting customers from prototype and first-off manufacture through to full production. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong inspection background who enjoys working in a varied manufacturing environment where quality is critical. The Role: - Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection activities - Produce detailed inspection reports and documentation - Perform dimensional inspection of machined components using CMM equipment and conventional measuring tools - Support production teams to ensure products meet customer and quality requirements - Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and customer specifications - Assist with investigation and resolution of quality issues Experience Required: - Previous experience working as a CMM Inspector, Quality Inspector or Mechanical Inspector within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment - Experience using Romer/FARO Arm CMMs and associated inspection software would be highly advantageous - Ability to interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerances - Strong understanding of quality standards and inspection methodologies - Experience using a range of manual inspection equipment including micrometers, verniers and height gauges What's on Offer? - £18.00 - £20.00 per hour depending on experience - Permanent position with long-term stability - Day shift Monday to Friday - 5% company pension contribution - Healthshield cash plan - Opportunity to work on complex, high-precision projects across multiple industries If you're an experienced CMM Inspector looking to join a well-established precision engineering company with a strong reputation for quality and technical excellence, we'd like to hear from you
