Job location: Northampton

Hourly Rate: Days - £13.10 PAYE / £16.71 Umbrella

Shifts: Monday - Friday 07:00 - 17:00.

Hours: 50 hours a week

Avg. Duration: 6 Months minimum

Company Summary: In partnership with Siemens Mobility we are recruiting for a Stores Person to be part of the materials chain for a project to overhaul the interiors of Rolling Stock units. Siemens Mobility are a globally recognised brand in the production, maintenance and modification of Rolling Stock. This role is based at the modern Kings Heath Depot.

Position Summary: The key duties are to Receive, Control and Deliver material to the MFC facility. You will carry out general stores duties governed by the priorities and timescales of work requirements and daily workloads, using processes and procedures to ensure Internal customers require the highest service level.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving Goods In, off-loading material at the point of delivery using the correct manual handling techniques, storing correctly in locations and recording
  • Checking quality and quantity of material delivered against documentation.
  • Completing delivery paperwork and filing
  • Pick, pack and issue material kits to Production on site.
  • Top up line side material locations.

Personal Profile / experience required:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced Warehouse environment
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Counterbalance Forklift truck experience is ideal for this role (can train so will accept other FLT experience)
  • Basic PC skills, ie: Microsoft Word/Excel
  • Previous experience with SAP systems would be advantageous
