Job Description Electrical Fitter Kings Heath Depot, Northampton Shift: Monday-Friday, 06:00-16:00 Rate: £22.19 PAYE / £28.31 Umbrella (first 12 weeks) / £29.83 Umbrella (after 12 weeks) Duration: 18 months+ / Long-term contract Working for a leading global provider of mobility solutions for urban, interurban and freight transportation sectors. Working at a newly refurbished depot in Northampton on large-scale overhaul projects, you will be working as part of a team of Fitters focused on refitting the interiors of train carriages to modernise the fleet. Electrical installation of train systems, including lighting, CCTV, USB and LED lights Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams and modification instructions Testing and routing electrical wiring and components Using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical faults Experience as an Electrical Fitter, Exam Technician or Maintenance Technician with an electrical bias NVQ Level 3 within a relevant engineering/electrical discipline Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics Experience with electrical installation, testing and fault-finding Willingness to learn new skills and attend training courses to expand your skillset Rolling stock experience, particularly electrical fitment and fault-finding, would be highly desirable
