Hourly Rate: £22.19 PAYE / Pre 12 weeks £28.31 Umbrella / Post 12 weeks £29.83 Umbrella

Company Summary:

Working for a leading global provider of mobility solutions for urban interurban, and freight transportation sectors.

Position Summary:

Working at a newly refurbished depot in Northampton on large-scale overhaul projects, you will be working with a team of Fitters focused on refitting the interior of train carriages to modernise the fleet.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Electrical installation of train systems including Lighting, CCTV, USB and LED lights
  • Fitment of PIS (Passenger Information Systems)
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics/diagrams and modification instructions
  • Test and route electrical wiring and components
  • Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot faults
  • Document all work completed including test results, materials used and any deviations from planned work

Person Profile:

  • Experience in Electrical installations of systems such as lighting, CCTV, visual display etc.
  • NVQ Level 3 within a relevant electrical discipline
  • Ideally you will have electrical experience on vehicles though this is not a requirement
