Clean and Modern working environment Opportunity to get into the rail sector Excellent Rates Hours per week: 44 Duration: Contract – 6 months+ Hours: Days Start date: Immediate Client Summary: A well established engineering business specialising in the repair, maintenance and overhaul of Rail Machinery, vehicles and components. Position Summary: As NDT inspector you will be responsible for assisting with the specification, documentation, and verification of NDT requirements for the business and associated clients. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that all NDT activities within the business align with industry requirements, particularly BS EN 15085. You will be undertaking crack testing – using Dye Penetrant and MPI Duties to include: – Produce quality documents i.e., technique sheets, SOPs, and Templates. – Ensure activities and associated actions and measures taken do not endanger but assist with the upkeep and maintaining the company\’s ISO (9001, 14001 and 45001) standards and certification – To set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment – To conduct tests to ensure quality, or detect discontinuities (defects), using NDT methods of inspection – To establish techniques for examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations – To apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results – To organise and report test results – To perform specialized inspections Essential Skills/Experience: An NDT Level II Certification is desirable Comfortable advocating and problem-solving when needed. A critical thinker with a positive attitude. Dedicated to continuous improvement and attention to detail Good understanding of VT-MPI-DPI- UT processes and standards. Email: (url removed)
