Mobile Trailer Technician

Job Title: Mobile Trailer Technician
Working Hours: Monday β Thursday: 7:30 AM β 4:30 PM, Friday: 7:30 AM β 3:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch break each day)
Flexibility is required to work evenings or weekends as business needs dictate.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Rental Fleet Manager, you will be based at our Winsford facility and responsible for the repair, servicing, and MOT preparation of our double-deck trailer fleet. This role involves liaising with customers on-site, ensuring strong professional relationships are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct repairs and inspections on trailers.
- Assess and address defects upon rental check-in.
- Perform pre-MOT inspections and present vehicles for testing.
- Maintain and develop customer relationships.
- Carry out vehicle safety inspections.
- Order necessary parts as required.
- Maintain accurate job cards and service records.
- Ensure efficient use and disposal of raw materials and consumables.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations.
Key Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organised, proactive, and self-motivated, with the following qualifications:
- Manufacturing experience, ideally in commercial vehicle bodywork or trailer manufacturing.
- Proven experience in trailer/tail lift repair and double-deck trailer maintenance.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Enthusiastic, driven, and determined attitude.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Ability to conduct chassis deck, tail lift servicing, and LOLER inspections.
