Overview:
Alstom is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Materials Handler to support logistics operations at our East Ham depot. This role involves managing goods receipt and issue, stock control, and maintaining accurate inventory records using ERP systems.
Reporting to: Stores Team Leader
Key Responsibilities:
Safely store materials and equipment in designated areas.
Operate a forklift truck to load/unload deliveries, ensuring goods are handled with care.
Accurately record and transact inventory using the company\'s ERP systems
Maintain efficient material flows (receiving, put-away, kitting, shipping) in line with ERP processes.
Conduct inventory counts in accordance with Alstom\'s standards and targets.
Support logistics performance through SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) initiatives.
Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
Actively participate in continuous improvement activities, including safety tours and PGIs (Planned General Inspections).
What We\'re Looking For:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Experience using ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Reliable team player with a positive attitude.
Industry experience and product knowledge are advantageous.
