Materials Expeditor – Immediate Start 📍 Location: Cardiff Airport 🕒 Shift: Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 15:00 💷 PAYE Rate: £17.76/hour 📌 Contract: 6 months via Shorterm Group Shorterm Group are currently seeking a Materials Expeditor to join a fast-paced and high-performing operations team supporting aviation maintenance and engineering operations. This is a key role responsible for ensuring timely delivery of parts and materials to support operational deadlines. 🔧 Key Responsibilities – Maintain and manage the purchasing order book to ensure materials arrive on time and in full. – Act as the primary contact point for suppliers regarding delivery dates, pricing queries, repair quotations, and scrap requests. – Expedite external repairs to meet customer requirements. – Assist with warranty recovery claims. – Maintain and update the SAP system with accurate delivery and status information. – Provide cover for team tasks and support with ad hoc operational duties as required. 💼 Ideal Candidate – Strong communicator with the ability to influence supplier performance. – Able to negotiate effectively to obtain best value and ensure timely deliveries. – PC literate with strong skills in Excel and data presentation. – Works well under pressure and can prioritise tasks in a fast-moving environment. – Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems desirable. – A background in materials, procurement or operations support is advantageous. ⭐ What We're Looking For – A confident, proactive team player. – Highly organised with a "can-do" attitude. – A problem-solver who thrives under pressure. – Someone who values safety, compliance, and quality in everything they do.
