Position Summary: Working in a workshop attached to a larger operational facility this role will be to strip, service and rebuild heavy diesel engines as part of a refurbishment project.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Full strip of engine including turbos, gaskets and sump
  • Use hand and power tools to strip/fit component parts of the engine body
  • Conduct visual inspection of component parts such as gaskets, seals, valves and injectors
  • Rebuild of engine including post rebuild inspections to verify integrity and performance
  • Fault finding and rectification as required

Person Profile:

  • NVQ Level 3 within a relevant engineering/mechanical discipline is required
  • Experience with diesel engines preferably Cummins
  • Experience completing full strips and rebuilds of heavy diesel engines

Shifts: Monday - Thursday

Hours Per Week: 40

Hourly Rate: £18.86 - £20.50 PAYE dependant on experience (Umbrella rates available)
