We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support and develop maintenance operations across our advanced precision machining facility. This is a newly created role, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to shape maintenance structures, processes, and best practices from the ground up. The role requires a hands-on engineer with both mechanical and electrical expertise and strong CNC machinery knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on CNC and manual machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
- Support continuous improvement of maintenance procedures, schedules, and documentation.
- Ensure machinery uptime and reliability across production operations.
- Work independently while also collaborating with production and engineering teams.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

- 5-Axis CNC milling machines
- CNC turning lathes
- CNC grinders
- Manual lathes
- 3-5 axis milling machines
- Drilling machines
- EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) machines

Candidate Requirements:
- Strong maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
- Dual-skilled with both mechanical and electrical bias.
- Proven ability to work on own initiative and build maintenance structures and processes.
- Good working knowledge of CNC machinery and related control systems.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
- Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ / City & Guilds / HNC or equivalent).
- Experience within aerospace, automotive, motorsport, defence, or medical manufacturing environments.
