We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support and develop maintenance operations across our advanced precision machining facility. This is a newly created role, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to shape maintenance structures, processes, and best practices from the ground up. The role requires a hands-on engineer with both mechanical and electrical expertise and strong CNC machinery knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on CNC and manual machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
  • Support continuous improvement of maintenance procedures, schedules, and documentation.
  • Ensure machinery uptime and reliability across production operations.
  • Work independently while also collaborating with production and engineering teams.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
  • Dual-skilled with both mechanical and electrical bias.
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative and build maintenance structures and processes.
  • Good working knowledge of CNC machinery and related control systems.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

  • Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ / City & Guilds / HNC or equivalent).
  • Experience within aerospace, automotive, motorsport, defence, or medical manufacturing environments.
