Role: Maintenance Engineer (Permanent)

Package & Benefits:

  • £40,000-£45,000 base salary (negotiable depending on experience)
  • 20% shift allowance + additional 15% uplift on nights
  • Total expected earnings: £55,000-£57,000 per annum
  • 25-27 days holiday

Shift Pattern:

Rotating 3-shift system, 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00, 22:00 - 06:00. Weekend overtime as required.

Role Overview:

You will support the effective and efficient operation of production equipment across the site, ensuring downtime is minimised through preventative, reactive, and corrective maintenance. You will also carry out planned preventative maintenance as part of the wider engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
  • Carry out PPM activities to schedule
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
  • Ensure safe working practices at all times
  • Communicate effectively across departments and shifts

Candidate Requirements (Essential):

  • NVQ Level 3 or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3-5 years' experience in a maintenance engineering role (automotive preferred)
  • Strong electrical/mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Experience with Siemens PLCs including TIA Portal
  • Experience with ABB robotics
  • Practical, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure with strong attention to detail
