Electroplating is a surface treatment process used to restore, protect, or enhance components. At its core, electroplating uses an electrical current to deposit a thin layer of metal (like chromium, nickel, or cadmium) onto a component. It is a mix of hands-on engineering, chemistry, and precision workmanship, and it plays a crucial role in keeping aircraft components safe and airworthy.

This role is ideal for someone with some experience in an engineering environment and a strong willingness to learn a specialised trade. You will benefit from a fully supported training programme, working alongside experienced electroplaters who will guide your development, in a huge aerospace company.
