Rate: £22.19 PAYE / £28.31 Umbrella (first 12 weeks) / £29.83 Umbrella (after 12 weeks)

Position Summary
Working at a newly refurbished depot in Northampton on large-scale overhaul projects, you will be working as part of a team of Fitters focused on refitting the interiors of train carriages to modernise the fleet.
Responsibilities
- Electrical installation of train systems, including lighting, CCTV, USB and LED lights
- Fitment of PIS (Passenger Information Systems)
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams and modification instructions
- Testing and routing electrical wiring and components
- Using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical faults
- Documenting all work completed, including test results, materials used and any deviations from planned work
Person Profile
- Experience as an Electrical Fitter, Exam Technician or Maintenance Technician with an electrical bias
- NVQ Level 3 within a relevant engineering/electrical discipline
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics
- Experience with electrical installation, testing and fault-finding
- Willingness to learn new skills and attend training courses to expand your skillset
- Rolling stock experience, particularly electrical fitment and fault-finding, would be highly desirable
- Must be willing to complete a Drug & Alcohol (D&A) test as part of the pre-employment process
