Position Summary:
Working at a live Rail Depot, we require Mechanical Modifications Technicians who will be engaged for the implementation of a sanding box modification on the Class. Duties could include the following:
- Carrying out modifications primarily on the underframes of the vehicles and interior aspects
- Renewal of fasteners (washers, nuts and bolts)
- Tightening of threaded fasteners (torque loading)
- Carrying out inspections and checks to ensure work completed to correct standard
- Carrying out work recording via both paperwork and computer
- Protection of components
Personal Profile:
Minimum requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent award in a Mechanical discipline or similar
- Experience of mechanical works on vehicles such as trains, aircraft, marine vessels, plant, agricultural machinery, cars, trucks or buses
