Location: Goole, East Yorkshire

Hourly Pay Rate: £22.12 PAYE / £28.22 Umbrella rising to £29.73 Umbrella after 12 weeks

Shifts: Minimum of 40 hours a week.

Shift Pattern: Mon - Fri 08:00 - 16:00 (flexibility may be required in line with movements)

Company Summary: A globally recognised name currently undergoing a project to build a new fleet of underground stock for the world-famous London Underground. This is one of the industry's most exciting projects to be involved in, helping manufacture London's newest tube fleet. This will involve working out of a brand new state-of-the-art facility purpose-built for this project.

Position Summary: This role is based around working in a busy rolling stock manufacturing facility. The role will mainly require you to shunt or assist with shunting units and moving bogies (wheelsets) around the site. You will be responsible for upholding strict health and safety standards at all times, especially whilst the movement of vehicles is underway. Generally, you will be using tow trucks or shunting the units under their own power. Your roles and responsibilities may also include being a banksman, directing the manoeuvre of vehicles or 'spotting', ensuring all routes are clear of obstruction and people.

Person Profile: Due to the safety-critical nature of this role, candidates must come from a background where they have had exposure to dealing with large vehicles/machinery. Ideal candidates would come from a Rolling Stock background. However, experience with tracked vehicles or an HGV/FLT/PSV driving background may be considered.
