Company Summary: We are recruiting for a team who will be ensuring the quality of the new fleet of underground stock for the Piccadilly line. This is one of the industry's most exciting projects to be involved in, being part of the team manufacturing the world famous London underground's newest tube fleet. This will involve working out of a brand new state-of-the-art facility purpose built for this project!
Position Summary: As a Quality Inspector on a Pre-Sale Modification project you will be one of the final stages of a product introduction process before the units are released to a prestigious customer. You will be responsible for inspecting and verifying the quality outbound Rolling Stock units to ensure products meet all agreed specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities will include:
- Inspection and acceptance of completed tasks and product
- Recording and documenting of all inspections including sign offs
- Control and documentation of failures and deviations
- Initiation of rework in coordination with the persons responsible
- Configuration management: introduction and ensuring implementation
- Report writing of on reoccurring issues in order to instigate reviews of manufacturing/engineering processes
Person Profile:
- 2 years minimum Rolling Stock experience within a Quality based role is required
- A Level 3 Engineering qualification is required
- Ideally you will be familiar with ERP systems, with a preference of SAP
