Shorterm Group are recruiting for a number of Mechanical Modifications Technicians to join a major engineering project in East Yorkshire. Working within a modern rolling stock production facility, you will be involved in the implementation of a suite of modifications on new London Underground vehicles. Importantly, rolling stock experience is not essential. We are keen to hear from candidates with strong mechanical experience from a wide range of backgrounds, including:
- PSV Technicians
- HGV Technicians
- Bus and Coach Engineers
- Automotive Technicians
- Plant Fitters
- Military Vehicle Technicians
- Aviation Engineers
- Mechanical Fitters and Assemblers
If you have solid hands-on mechanical experience and relevant qualifications, your application will be considered.
Duties will include:
- Carrying out mechanical and interior modifications
- Undertaking underframe mechanical work
- Recording work via internal IT systems
- Carrying out inspections and checks to ensure fleet reliability
- Identifying improvements and feeding back to Team Leaders
- Diagnosing and rectifying defects
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a Mechanical or Engineering discipline
- Previous mechanical fitting, assembly, maintenance or modification experience
