Company Summary: In partnership with Siemens Mobility we are recruiting for a large team of electrical assemblers to build London's new fleet of underground stock, the Piccadilly line. This is one of the industry's most exciting projects to be involved in, helping manufacture London's newest tube fleet. This will involve working out of Siemens Mobility's brand new state-of-the-art facility purpose built for this project!
Position Summary: As an Electrical Assembler, you will be experienced working in a safe manner, adhering to Siemens 4 steps to zero harm. You will be carrying out assembly tasks on electro-mechanical parts, components, assemblies/sub-assemblies, and interiors of trains for the world famous London Underground.
Responsibilities Include:
- Crimping and termination of electrical looms or similar
- Connecting Plug Assembly to plan
- Cable routing to layout plans
- Documentation of activities (Glass or Paper systems)
- Working closely to production instructions including all correct tooling
- Conduct regular quality, sight and functionality tests
Person Profile:
- Experience working within a manufacturing, maintenance or overhaul environment
- We are ideally looking for someone with an appropriate level 3 electrical qualification
- Ideally you will be familiar with ERP systems, with a preference of SAP
- You will be a self-starter, with strong organizational skills able to work both independently and in a team environment.
