We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join a leading manufacturer and supplier of bespoke machinery. If you have a keen interest in how machines are designed, manufactured, and built, this is an exciting and varied role for you.
Job Overview: You will be involved in building custom machines such as sweet sorting machines, bowl feeders, and conveyors, primarily working with stainless steel. This is not production line work - you'll be required to come up with solutions and ideas as you cut, form sheet metal, and TIG weld to achieve high-quality finishes.
Person Profile / Experience:
- Must have experience in TIG welding.
- Completed an apprenticeship in sheet metal work or fabrication with sheet metal experience.
- Experience working on bespoke, one-off products is ideal.
- Must have experience working with steel to tight tolerances.
- Strong understanding of engineering schematics.
Qualifications: Sheet metal/welding apprenticeship or City & Guilds or equivalent.
