We are currently recruiting experienced CNC Machinists for a leading precision engineering company based in Wickford, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer producing high-quality precision components across a range of industries.
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting and operating 3-axis Siemens CNC milling machines, ensuring components are produced accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Set and operate 3-axis Siemens CNC milling machines
- Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Select the correct tooling and machining methods
- Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment
- Make machine offsets and adjustments to maintain quality
- Ensure all work meets customer specifications
- Work to production schedules and quality standards
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams
- Previous experience as a CNC Miller or CNC Machinist
- Experience with Siemens CNC controls
- Strong background operating 3-axis CNC milling machines
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience machining to tight tolerances
- Competent using measuring equipment such as micrometers, vernier callipers, and gauges
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- £15.00 - £20.00 per hour (PAYE)
