Position Summary: Working at a newly refurbished depot in Northampton on large-scale overhaul projects, you will be working with a team of Vehicle Builders focused on refitting the interior of train carriages to modernise the fleet.
Responsibilities Include:
- Stripping and preparing vehicles for repairs, cutting and fitting materials to exact measurements
- Installing components such as panels, floors, carpets and seating with typical materials such as wood, metal, composites, sealants and adhesives
- Assembling, fitting and finishing interior and exterior features
- Using Siemens software/systems to input data and retrieve VMI's
- Removing and re-fitting windows
Person Profile:
- Be willing to learn new skills and attend training courses to expand on your skillset
- Ideally you will have an NVQ
- Ideally you will have Vehicle Building or maintenance experience from a vehicle setting e.g. automotive, HGV, PSV or Rolling Stock, alternatively carpentry or shop fitting
