We are recruiting on behalf of one of our national training companies. We are seeking an Electrical Tutor / Assessor to work alongside a major UK organisation that has recently invested in a state-of-the-art training academy in Lutterworth, designed to deliver industry-leading electrical and renewable energy training. This brand-new facility has been developed by one of the UK's most recognised household names and offers an outstanding environment for both trainers and learners.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced electrical professional who is passionate about developing others and wants to combine hands-on industry expertise with training and assessment responsibilities.
The Role
As an Electrical Tutor / Assessor, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical training programmes and supporting learners throughout their development journey. Your time will be split between:
- Approximately 50% based at the new Lutterworth training academy, delivering classroom and workshop-based training.
- Approximately 50% travelling nationwide, carrying out workplace assessments, supporting learners, and delivering training at other company training centres across the UK.
You’ll deliver and assess a range of electrical qualifications and courses, including:
- Electrical Installation programmes
- Testing & Inspection
- BS7671:2018 (18th Edition)
- Renewable technologies (where applicable)
- Practical workshop training
- Portfolio reviews and learner feedback sessions
You’ll help learners build both competence and confidence, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to succeed within the electrical industry.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
- Level 3 Electrical Qualification (2365, 2357 or equivalent)
- Level 3 Testing & Inspection Qualification
- Strong knowledge of BS7671:2018
- Significant industry experience within the electrical sector
Teaching & Assessing Qualifications
Ideally, you’ll hold:
- Cert Ed, PTLLS, TAQA or equivalent teaching qualification
- D32/D33 or A1/A2 Assessor Awards
However, experienced electrical professionals without these qualifications are encouraged to apply. Full support and training will be provided, with the expectation that relevant qualifications are achieved within six months of joining.

- Renewable Energy qualifications (Solar PV, EESS, EV Charging, etc.)
- Previous experience delivering training or apprenticeships
