Job Title: Electrical Modifications Technician (MDO+) Job Location: Derby Hourly Pay Rate: Mornings – PAYE:£19.02/Umbrella:£24.66 Afternoons – PAYE:£20.43/Umbrella:£26.52 Shifts: 37 hours with potential overtime Shift Pattern: Mon – Fri (mornings + afternoons) Duration: 2 years + Start Date: ASAP Industries Considered: Rolling Stock, Aviation, Plant, Automotive, HGV, PCV, Marine and Armed Forces Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Position Summary: Working at a live Rail Depot you will initially be engaged in the implementation of a suite of electrical modifications on the Voyageur Fleet. In addition, overall responsibility of vehicle wiring, in line with vehicle maintenance instructions (VMI\’s). Undertake all types of electrical modifications work to ensure that we provide a safe, reliable, and defect free train. Take responsibility for the safe, efficient and professional workmanship of oneself and others under your control. Duties could include the following: * Interior electrical mods * Carrying out in-depth rip out and refit of electrical systems * Carrying out rewires as a where required * Carrying out work recording via both paperwork and computer (SAP) Ideal Candidate A diligent professional able to work well as an individual or in a team. Relevant experience required: * History of completing safety critical work * Ability to undertake detailed fault finding and analysis by reading and following electrical schematic drawings * Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical Principles * Computer literate and experience of using a maintenance management system for work recording Qualifications: Level 3 qualification or higher in an Engineering discipline is a requirement.
