Job Title: Draughtsman
Location: Derby
Rate: 20 – 25 per hour PAYE (negotiable depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (3:30pm finish on Fridays)
Type: Contract – minimum 3 months, likely to be extended
We are looking for a skilled Draughtsman to support a busy engineering design team in Derby. This is a contract role for a minimum of three months, with a strong likelihood of extension. The focus will be on producing detailed manufacturing drawings rather than concept work.
You will be using Autodesk Inventor to generate clear, accurate, and structured technical drawings for custom-built machinery used in product handling and packaging. Our clients include some of the world\’s leading names in the snack food sector.
Applicants must have solid experience with Inventor and a good grasp of mechanical drawing standards. While experience with AutoCAD and bespoke machinery is beneficial, it is not essential if you\’ve worked on similar mechanical systems.
Key requirements:
Proficient in Autodesk Inventor
Confident in creating detailed manufacturing drawings
Experience in a mechanical or machinery-based environment
Comfortable working independently and communicating with a wider design team
AutoCAD and bespoke machinery experience is a bonus, but not required
