We are seeking an experienced and motivated Marine Electronics Service Engineer to join a growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced marine communication, navigation, and satellite systems across a wide range of commercial and offshore vessels. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and integration of critical onboard electronic systems, ensuring vessels remain compliant, connected, and operational. This role will be based in Portsmouth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct VDR and APT inspections, servicing, and maintenance.
  • Perform radio surveys and certification activities in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain GMDSS communication equipment, navigational equipment, and VSAT satellite broadband systems.
  • Execute retrofit projects, including complete bridge installations and large-scale system integrations.
  • Diagnose and resolve electronic and electrical faults onboard vessels.
  • Complete service reports, documentation, and compliance records accurately.
  • Provide technical support and customer service to vessel operators and clients.
  • Travel to customer sites, ports, shipyards, and offshore locations as required.

Requirements:

  • HNC, ONC, NVQ Level qualification, or equivalent national standard.
