Shorterm Group are delighted to be partnered with a global engineering/manufacturing business in their search for a number of full time, permanent Chargehands. Currently our client have projects live across the globe and are looking to appoint people ASAP. Your main role will be managing a team of operatives in mixing and applying Subsea Insulation and fire protective materials to a variety of different structures primarily within the Oil and Gas Industry. As a chargehand you will need to be fully conversant with the application methods for company products, to start with you’ll complete your inductions either at their head office or on site, encompassing the entire application process from start to finish. This role will require hands-on application of materials as and when required. Responsibilities will include: * Managing stock control through monitoring use of materials, tools and PPE * Timely completion of all necessary site documentation in legible, accurate and concise format * Working in line with requirements of quality, health and safety, and environmental management systems * Ensuring all site activities fully meet Company requirements for QHSE at all times * Cost control to effectively and efficiently meet project requirements * Reviewing works progress in accordance with the Project Programme, providing updates to the Projects team including reporting any issues or suggesting areas for improvement * Maintaining strict confidentiality on all matters relating to Company business Driving license is essential. As there is international travel involved, you must be a passport holder and have had your first two COVID jabs as well as no criminal convictions. You’ll be expected to be away from home for long periods of time (up to 12 weeks). When you do return home you will receive base salary whilst on R&R and between projects. When away you will receive uplifts for every day you are on site. OTE (base salary +uplifts) for this role is 46k- 52k
