Are you an experienced Electrical or Avionics Design Engineer with a background in a Part 21J Design Organisation? Do you enjoy working on complex aircraft modification programmes within a highly regulated environment? We're supporting a leading aerospace organisation that is expanding its Design Engineering team and is looking to recruit experienced Electrical / Avionics Design Engineers and Compliance Verification Engineers (CVEs) to support the delivery and certification of large commercial aircraft modification programmes. This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams while contributing to the certification of aircraft modifications for global operators.

The Role

As part of an established Part 21J Design Organisation, you'll be responsible for supporting the design, integration and certification of electrical and avionics systems across a variety of aircraft modification programmes. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Producing electrical and avionics design data, including wiring diagrams, installation drawings and harness documentation
  • Supporting certification activities to demonstrate compliance with EASA/CAA airworthiness requirements
  • Preparing certification documentation including electrical load analysis, compliance reports, test plans and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA)
  • Working closely with engineering, certification and programme teams throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Supporting customer design reviews and certification activities, including occasional travel when required

We're particularly interested in engineers who can demonstrate:

  • Proven experience working within an EASA Part 21J Design Organisation (DOA)
  • Strong background in Electrical and/or Avionics Systems Design
  • Experience producing certification documentation within regulated aerospace environments
  • Good understanding of EASA and CAA certification frameworks, including CS-25/FAR-25 where applicable
  • Experience as an EASA Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) or engineers actively working towards CVE approval
  • Ability to work across multiple engineering programmes within a safety-critical environment
