About the Role Working in a Safety Critical Environment demands certain standards in ensuring our Rolling Stock are maintained to the highest calibre. To ensure that this takes place our tools and equipment is likewise expected to be of the highest quality and to this end we are looking to engage a new member of staff to provide services in maintaining our tools and calibration records across the business. The role requires an individual who is well organised and experienced in maintaining tools, equipment, and documents to ensure that accurate records are kept and made available to senior management within the business. Areas of activity/responsibility could include: * Maintain an up-to-date Calibration database including calibration certificates and historic records for tooling and equipment. * Perform calibration of DBC tooling and equipment to required industry standards. * Liaise with 3rd party suppliers for any calibration activities not covered in house to ensure certification of all equipment is maintained. * Source new or replacement tooling and equipment for any failures or new business requirements. * Liaise with various maintenance departments to ensure items due are sent to Stoke in a timely manner to ensure tooling cannot drop out of calibration. * Monitor costs relating to replacement or repairs to tooling to ensure areas or customers are cross charged. * Monitoring our DCS system for documents currently issued across DBCM locations and communicate any new or updated requirements to local managers. * Monitor Paper documents issued at Stoke Depot and remove or update with changed issued in DCS. * Locate and issue any Documents requested by Stoke Production Management. * We are looking for a mechanically biased fitter/technician with an overbearing of enthusiasm and a desire to work within the Rail Industry. Delivering compliance for their tooling and equipment, ensuring calibration and testing is up to date with all records maintained. * The successful applicant will have had previous experience in managing calibration and testing, plus maintaining all physical and online records relating to testing and maintenance Environment * A busy, heavy industrial, manufacturing environment. * Emphasis on Health & Safety and delivery of a quality product. * All tooling and PPE provided * Plenty of parking on site PLEASE NOTE ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUGS AND ALCOHOL TEST BEFORE BEING OFFERED A POSITION.
