Hours: 40 hours per week

Pay rate: £14.54 per hour rising to £15.01 (plus overtime)

Shifts: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:00pm, Friday 7:00am - 1:00pm

We are currently recruiting for a Stores Operative (ideally with a B1 FLT licence) to join an engineering company based in Burton upon Trent. This role involves supporting the stores and logistics function by managing incoming goods, stock control and dispatch operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Receiving and booking in goods, checking for damage or missing items
  • Moving and locating stock safely by hand or using a forklift truck
  • Maintaining accurate stock records for quantity and location
  • Processing stock movements and transactions within the Oracle system
  • Carrying out visual checks, counts and weigh counts to ensure documentation accuracy
  • Picking and kitting stock for orders
  • Preparing and dispatching goods to customers in line with company procedures
  • Ensuring all items are correctly labelled and shipped on time
  • Monitoring inventory accuracy and reporting discrepancies
  • Carrying out inventory audits in line with company policy
  • Loading and unloading vehicles using appropriate lifting equipment
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the stores area
  • Managing customer assets through correct documentation and system updates

Previous experience in a stores or goods-in environment is required. A B1 FLT licence would be beneficial.
