We are currently recruiting for an experienced Panel Wirer / Harness Assembler to join a leading engineering business based in Burton upon Trent on a long-term contract. This role would suit candidates with previous experience in automotive, rail, heavy engineering, or other electrical manufacturing environments who are confident building, repairing, and testing electrical harnesses and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing electrical harnesses and conduit assemblies to engineering drawings and work instructions
- Building concentric layered harnesses to a high standard
- Inspecting, testing, fault-finding, and repairing electrical harnesses and assemblies
- Carrying out repairs to electrical components, control cabinets, power packs, and associated equipment
- Identifying wear, damage, or faults and reporting findings to the Electrical Team Leader
- Completing inspection records and production documentation accurately
- Working to production targets whilst maintaining high quality standards
- Following all health and safety procedures and company processes
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Panel Wirer, Harness Assembler, Electrical Fitter, or similar role
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and wiring schematics
- Experience manufacturing and repairing electrical harnesses
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Able to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment
- Rail, automotive, rolling stock, or heavy engineering experience would be advantageous
