Job Overview: We are currently recruiting for a Night Shift Engine / Voith / Raft Stripper to join our Engine Strip & Transmission team near Burton-on-Trent. This hands-on role involves the dismantling and reassembly of engines in line with manufacturer and warranty standards. The successful candidate will have mechanical experience and a flexible, team-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strip mechanical components from engines according to instruction
- Distribute new parts to appropriate engines and machinery
- Jet wash engines after final quality checks before dispatch
- Report any issues, near misses, or concerns to the line manager
- Support all 5S and continuous improvement activities
- Assist the wider team with any reasonable tasks as directed
- Follow relevant process plans, instructions, and health & safety procedures

What We're Looking For:
Essential:
- Mechanical experience - ability to strip and reassemble engine components
- Willingness to work permanent night shifts
- Positive, proactive attitude with good communication skills
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 3 in Motor Repairs or equivalent
- Experience in the rail, automotive, or heavy engineering industry
