Rate: £15.64 rising to £16.56

Start Date: Multiple intakes starting at the end of July until September

Hours per week: 39 (6:45 - 15:45 Mon - Thurs, 6:45 - 11:45 Fri)

Duration: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (potential for perm)

Client Summary: Working for a major manufacturer of Agricultural Vehicles and Machinery, based out of the Basildon Manufacturing Plant.

Position Summary: To carry out the fitting of parts and the repair of quality defects to a high standard, ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently and in accordance with company quality requirements. This position sits after initial quality checking of agricultural plant. The main role is to complete repairs and replacements of smaller defects on non-conforming products as well as further analysis and diagnosis of larger defects to be then escalated to the relevant teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, diagnose, and repair quality defects and part shortages.
  • Report defects, issues & repair requirements to the supervisory team.
  • Be able to identify quality defects.
  • Promptly escalate any problems, risks, or production issues that may impact quality, safety, or delivery.

Key Requirements, Competencies & Behaviours:

  • Proficient in the safe use of a range of hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
  • Interest in, or background knowledge of, mechanical systems, manufacturing, or automation would be advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of unit parts, assemblies, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work effectively within estimated repair times.
  • Flexibility to work across different assembly lines and production areas.
  • Work effectively as part of the team.
  • Experience working to instructions - following set out procedures.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment or production line.
