We are looking for an experienced Marine Lead Technician to join a specialist marine service team based in Barcelona. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-end sailing yachts, delivering maintenance, repair, and refit services to vessels up to 30 metres in length.

The successful candidate will have strong marine engineering experience and a hands-on approach to servicing a wide range of onboard systems, including propulsion, steering, mechanical, and plumbing systems. You will work closely with yacht owners, captains, contractors, and colleagues to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities of Lead Marine Technician
  • Deliver service, maintenance, and repair projects safely and efficiently
  • Service and repair marine steering systems, including rudder removal and bearing replacement
  • Carry out propulsion system maintenance, including propeller shaft removal, cutlass bearing replacement, shaft seals, thrust bearings, and propeller servicing
  • Undertake engine room refits, engine replacements, and marine engine servicing
  • Service and replace seacocks, pumps, and onboard plumbing systems
  • Produce accurate technical reports and job documentation
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Ensure projects are completed within agreed timescales
  • Support a safe and organised working environment
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
Candidate Requirements of Lead Marine Technician
  • Experience within the marine engineering industry
  • Strong knowledge of marine propulsion, steering, mechanical, and plumbing systems
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and spoken)
