Salary starting at £30,000 and progressing to a minimum of £40,000 after successful completion of a 3-year training programme (2.5 years at college plus 6 months on-the-job training post completion). Join our Supply Chain team as a Trainee Supply Logistics Agent and gain experience in performing operational, vendor management and logistics activities focusing on internal and external supply performance, parameter and purchase order management, quality and financial aspects of supply chain across a range of commodities and aircraft products. As a Trainee Supply Logistics Agent, you will work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to real-world projects across the business.
Responsibilities will include:
- Learning to manage internal & external supply to meet schedule.
- Collaborating with engineering, operations, quality and finance to align supply chain tasks with production goals.
- Maintaining operational systems to the highest levels of data accuracy.
- Learning to manage system parameters and purchase order transactions.
- Providing visibility & analysis of capacity and load.
- Learning to manage accounts payable (AP) issues and take actions to resolve.
- Supporting operational performance in Fabrications or Assembly sites or within Supply Chain Execution.
- Learning to manage conflicting priorities in a high-pressure environment.
- Learning to manage risks and harmonization of delinquent supply in the supply chain.
In addition to your internal development, you will also receive full professional support to study at the Northern Regional College, Ballymena campus, one day per week during the working week to achieve a professional procurement qualification through the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). Classroom hours to be defined, however, classes could take place in the afternoon and/or evening. Upon successful completion of the training programme, you will become a Supply Logistics Agent and continue to progress and develop within the Company.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent qualification) including Maths and English.
- Minimum of 2, preferably 3, A-level subjects at Grade C or above (or equivalent qualification).
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience of using Microsoft Office.
- Analytical Skills.
Desirable Candidate Requirements:
- 1 x A level or equivalent in Business related subject.
- Experienced in a relevant customer focused field.
