Purpose of the role:
This role blends data analysis, process improvement and cross functional collaboration to optimise Supply Chain performance. Ongoing reconciliation of the actual spend to the budget and forecast spend is required, along with rationalisation of major deviations. Monitoring attrition levels involves utilising information from Procurement, Programmes and Contracts, and extracting stock, WIP and lead-time data from the MAXIM system. To provide various system and BoM analysis capabilities for other functions, both internal and external to the Department. Fulfilling the above material spend and utilised asset functions requires significant data analysis and system knowledge. This service is often required for miscellaneous analyses for other functions and to support in the development and implementation of new systems.
Candidate Requirements:
It is the responsibility of applicants to ensure that sufficient detail is provided on the application form to demonstrate they meet essential job criteria, as this alone will be used for vetting purposes.
Essential:
- A degree in a relevant field, e.g. Business IT, Engineering AND have 2 years demonstrated experience using various data analysis techniques.
- Experience using various data analysis tools.
- Strong Microsoft package skills including:
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge essential
- MS Access database creation and maintenance, queries & macro creation & development
- MS Presentation tools to produce clear & meaningful insights
- SQL & Visual Basic understanding required
- Be able to work unsupervised, to quickly understand new processes and/or methodology and to show the level of intuition required to analyse and resolve varied complex issues.
Desirable:
- At least 2 years relevant experience in a similar analyst role.
- SAP S4Hana knowledge & experience in a manufacturing or purchasing environment including developing reporting & KPIs.
