An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Shoreham Port’s new Mooring Crew, locally known as "Hufflers”. Mooring operations are one of the important tasks that our marine colleagues perform on ship’s deck as you will be responsible for securing ships to mooring bollards with the ships mooring lines. If you enjoy working as part of a team to provide a safe and efficient service and are you looking for a career within a Marine team, we would love to hear from you.

  • A marine background is favourable.

  • Knowledge of the Port Marine Safety Code.

  • Enthusiasm.

  • Team player.

  • Driving License.

  • Salary – £24,960 per annum

  • Hours of work – up to 40 hours per week.

  • Generous pension contribution.

  • 25 days paid holiday plus Bank Holidays are incorporated into the established self-administered roster.
