We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic team for our brand new nursery that has opened on 1st September 2025. The successful candidates will work closely with our educators to support classroom activities, foster a positive learning environment, and ensure the academic success of our students. Positions are available for up to 30 hours, term time only.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Specialist Knowledge and Experience
    • Experience of working with or supporting learners.
    • Ability to build a rapport with learners, including those with special educational needs.
    • Ability to understand child development.
    • Ability to use ICT and to learn new ICT skills.
  • Organisation
    • Ability to organise time effectively, creating work schedules, prioritising workload and meeting deadlines.
  • Using Initiative
    • Ability to take responsibility for own actions and make decisions without referring to others on occasions.
  • Resilience
    • Ability to remain calm and self-controlled under pressure.
  • Personal Drive & Commitment
    • Ability to be proactive, enthusiastic and committed by taking ownership to ensure tasks are delivered.
  • Communication
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, adapting style to suit the audience e.g. preparing reports.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help.
  • Monitor and manage student behaviour in the classroom.
  • Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Support in assessing and recording student progress.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
