Responsibilities
- As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you'll play a crucial role in working closely with and supporting the Nursery Manager and other Deputy to lead and inspire the team while still being actively involved in the rooms with room leader roles and responsibilities, and helping with lunch, organisation/preparation and serving at times.
- Lead and mentor the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education with pride and energy.
- Act as a role model, fostering an environment of initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
- Take responsibility for the nursery in the Nursery Manager's/Deputy's absence, ensuring smooth operations.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that respects the unique needs of every child.
- Help with rota planning, family communication, administrative tasks including fees/invoices, and nursery organisation.
- Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing all aspects of nursery operations, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Build strong partnerships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to promote collaboration and excellent outcomes for children.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional development within the team.
What We're Looking For
- Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Early Years
- Previous experience in a senior or deputy role within a nursery setting
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and child development
- A warm, professional, proactive team player who leads with care and positivity
- Great organisational skills and confidence working with digital systems
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, fun-filled environment where no two days are the same!
- Experience of working with 0-5 year olds.
Hours and Salary
- Hours and salary to be discussed at interview
- Must be flexible to work between 8.00 and 5.30 Monday to Friday
- Working nursery open all year except bank holidays and Christmas through to new year.
