Overview & Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is currently or recently been working as an Electrician. This is a great opportunity to put your industry skills and knowledge to use by training the next generation of Electricians. The level of courses taught includes Level 2 and Level 3. Level 2 courses are usually considered intermediate, while Level 3 courses are more advanced and often equivalent to vocational or technical education. In addition to teaching on full-time courses, you may also have the opportunity to teach apprenticeships at Level 3. You do not need a teaching qualification to work in Further Education; we will support the successful applicant to gain their teaching qualification whilst they work at no cost.
Responsibilities
- Teach Level 2 and Level 3 electrical courses.
- Possibly teach apprenticeships at Level 3.
- Prepare electrical students for progression into sustainable job roles within the building services industry.
- Engage with students in a fast-paced, changing environment and communicate effectively.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previously worked as a qualified Electrician.
- Experience in a variety of industry settings.
- Enthusiasm to pass on skills and knowledge to the future generation.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills; flexible and positive approach.
