Ducklings is a long-standing, charity-run Pre‑School at the heart of the community. We are seeking an experienced, nurturing, passionate, positive, and organised Deputy Supervisor to be a key part of our inclusive Pre‑School team.

The Deputy (Level Three practitioner) will assist our Supervisor in the smooth running of the setting and ensuring high‑quality care and safeguarding of the children. They will also support in supervising and supporting staff, planning, adhering to policies and making relevant updates, parent liaison, and deputising for the Supervisor when necessary.

NGCA Ducklings is a term time only setting. We open for 38 weeks of the year. An immediate start is available. NGCA Ducklings is committed to the safeguarding & welfare of children. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the UK. Enhanced DBS check is required. Exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974).

Information about the School: Ducklings pre‑school is committee‑owned and managed. It was established September 1995 and operates from a hall located at the back of the Great Notley Community centre in Great Notley. The hall has a separate entrance which can be accessed through a gate down the left hand side of the building, with a ramp leading up to the entrance. It has a secure, enclosed outdoor play area which is used for outdoor activities. A maximum of 20 children aged from two to five years may attend the setting at any one time. The pre‑school is open five days a week, term time only, the morning session running from 09.00 to 12.00 and the afternoon session from 12.30 to 15.30. We also offer all day sessions from 9.00 to 15.30 and the children bring in a lunch box from home. We operate 38 weeks of the year. There are currently 40 children attending Ducklings pre‑school who are within the Early Years Foundation Stage years.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
